SignMeUpKaraoke is throwing a themed party at the Liquid Zoo. There is NO COVER although the bar reserves the right to a one drink minimum (non-alcoholic is ok).

The Liquid Zoo has a billiard table, internet jukebox, TVs, and two bar-top video game machines.
Costumes - There will not be a costume contest, costumes are encouraged for fun. Costume ideas: anything related to a casino or casino's theme (such as the Luxor), Vegas shows and personalities, Vegas-based movies.
Snacks - Complimentary snacks will be made available.
Trivia - Your Karaoke Host will also run Trivia. The Trivia contest will last for 11/2 hours. The results will be tabulated starting at 9:30pm and the winners announced shortly afterward.
RULES - You may enter the contest as an individual or a team of up to 4 players.
There will be 8 rounds of questions, and the style will vary. Trivia sheets and pencils will be provided.
Each correct answer will earn the team a point. At the end of the trivia contest, there will be a prize for the team with the most points. If a tie should occur, a sudden death trivia round will be held between the winners.
If any player is seen, by the Host, using a cell phone or other device to look up answers or get assistance over the phone, the team will receive zero points for the round.
PRIZES - The winning team will get a round of drinks paid for by SignMeUpKaraoke. The second place team (or the team that tied for first place) will receive coupons for one Karaoke singer list jump.
Karaoke - Karaoke will be run as normal. Singers participating in the Trivia contest may request to be delayed as they desire. During the Trivia contest, we request that singers use Song Slips exclusively or approach the KJ with a song in mind - as opposed to researching songs with the KJ. Normal assistance will resume after Trivia. We use a digital Karaoke system and have a fast singer rotation. Once you are on the singer list you will rotate through and sing as many times as we have time for. We do not take tips to jump singers to the top of the list, but reserve this right for special occasions (such as birthdays) or for contest winners.
Singers are featured on a lit stage, with two visible song lyrics screens. Two stage mics are provided for duets or group songs.
Vegas Songlist - coming soon. A songlist will be provided online and at the party of Vegas-related songs that will be available for karaoke. The Vegas song challenge will be based on this list. The list will include artists such as Tom Jones, The Beatles (due to Cirque du Soleil), and more.
Karaoke Challenges - participants are only elligible to win one challenge, and once a winner should not sign up for other challenge-related songs.
BARTENDER CHALLENGE - Audrey will be picking one song for each gender. They're gonna be embarassing. The songs will be announced at the beginning of the evening. If you choose to sign up for one of the songs, and give it your best through to the end, you will get a free well drink or substitute as Audrey deems appropriate. The prizes will only be awarded once for each song, so bring your courage if you want to be the first person to sign up for them.
VIVA LAS VEGAS CHALLENGE - The KJ will be picking one song for each gender from the Vegas songlist. Singers may choose to sign up for songs from either gender on the list. Note: singers may pick from our entire list of songs, but the Vegas songlist is your clue to completing this challenge. The two songs picked from the Vegas songlist will not be announced until each song's challenge has been completed. If you are the first person to sing one of the two secret Vegas songs, you will get a free well drink or substitute as deemed appropriate by Audrey.
KAMIKAZE CHALLENGE - At 10pm and midnight, the Kamikaze challenge will be opened. Singers wishing to take the challenge will tell this to the KJ and also provide a backup song. When it's the singer's turn, the KJ will randomly determine a Kamikaze song choice. If the singer is not interested in trying the random song, they will sing their backup choice. The first participant to genuinely try to sing the random song and stay through to the end will have met the challenge. The first person to meet the Kamikaze challenge each time it is announced will receive a free Kamikaze shot.
